My favorite drink during Thanksgiving and Christmas has got to be Spiced Apple Cider. I think my brain tells me it’s healthy because of the apples and if I am full on Apple Cider I won’t eat appetizers/desserts. Over the years I have modified recipes to make my own version. The key to a wonderful cider is time. Use a crockpot or have the cider simmer on a stove but the longer the better- I prefer 2 hours on stove, 4 hours in a crockpot.
I also prefer Knudsen Apple Cider or fresh apple cider. Add 5 cinnamon sticks, 1 cup cranberries, 1 tsp cloves, 1tsp nutmeg, 1tsp all spice, and only add 1/3 cup brown sugar if you have a sweet tooth. Let simmer. Top with whip cream. Cheers
